PDM Description
Many organizations struggle with their continuous improvement efforts; achieving real bottom line results, whether in cost savings or increased revenues, has proven to be difficult. In spite of the widespread implementation of Lean and Six Sigma principles, poor results can persist. An integration of three methods, TOC, Lean, and Six Sigma (The TLS process) can generate 5 to 10 times better performance than Lean or Six Sigma alone. This session will explain some of the reasons why, and how using these three synergistic methods together can transform your system into a competitive weapon!
Please RSVP by January 19 to Jodie Flores at rickjodflores@msn.com .

Speaker Bio
Scott Jensen
With over 25 years of industry experience, Scott's career has been divided between management, teaching, and consulting roles. Receiving a Logistics Engineering degree, Scott began his career in resource management and has held positions of increasing responsibility including; Quality Engineering Supervisor, Operations Manager, and Manager of Continuous Improvement.
In the late 1990’s Scott worked at an automotive tier-one supplier as a Lean Systems Implementation expert. During this period he was fortunate to spend time at a Toyota facility and complete the Toyota Production System Management Training while there. Adding to this knowledge he later became a certified Theory of Constraints Expert with the Goldratt institute and gained Critical Chain project management expertise from the TOC Center.
In 2006 Scott created the Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Symposiums (the only event of its kind) to expand awareness of a synergistic approach consisting of the predominant organizational and system improvement philosophies of Lean, TOC, and Six Sigma. Now in its fourth year, it continues to draw attendees from around the world.
To encourage organizations to pursue throughput-focused improvements, Scott also organized and chairs a review board of notable experts to administer and select worthy recipients for the Robert E. Fox award. Presented annually at the CPI Symposiums, its been referred to as the “Oscar of organizational improvement awards”. Past recipients include, First Solar, US Air Force, Adirondack Surgical Center, Delta Airlines, and others.
Scott is the President and CEO of Control Point Technologies—an educational and consulting firm whose vision is to speed-up the adoption of cutting-edge organizational management approaches through their implementation and awareness. He is also the executive director of the annual CPI Symposium held at Weber State University in late spring.
